Bistro Mató is more than a bistro. We enjoyed great seafood as well as vegetarian dishes. I strongly recommend the grilled endives or the omelette completed by a Crema Catalan as dessert. The place is located nicely at a plaza with trees. We will have dinner here again furing our next visit in Barcelona.

Dining at this bistro was a memorable experience. Situated in an elegant and upscale neighborhood, the restaurant itself was a thing of beauty. The service was not only good but also exuded quality, making us feel truly valued throughout our meal. But it was the meat dishes that stole the show, each bite bursting with delicious flavor and impeccable quality. One thing's for sure – we're already planning our return visit. If you appreciate a beautiful setting, quality service, and mouthwatering meat, this bistro in Barcelona is a definite must-visit.

Unfortunately very slow service. The food arrived fast, but it was hard to get the menus, order, and pay. The food was tasty but not very hot. They were more focused on cleaning the tables, than talking to customers. You get the feeling that someone important (not you) is going to arrive :) Mostly what you hear from the personnel is "my colleague will do this..."

Visited this place after the monastery across the road. What a little gem, we had several amazing tapas dishes all served by a lovely young waiter who really helped us with what he thought was his bad English but he was so fantastic as our Spanish is awful! (We speak German and Italian doh!) He was very attentive and made us feel very welcome whilst seeing to all the local residents, we are very aware when you go to local places to not make an impact and be respectful! We didn’t catch his name but he made us feel like a local and we enjoyed a lovely cold beer and fantastic food, great place well worth a stop off for lunch if you visit the wonderful peaceful monastery which is why we were there. This was august so the weather was terrific and we were happy to get tanned outside, but you probably want an umbrella table! Fantastic I miss it! Thanks

Good food, incl lunch menu with good quality - price and original dishes. Nice atmosphere and excellent service, surely the terrace outside is Nice in summer time.
